Le batteur de Blink-182 Travis Barker a déclaré que le groupe avait déjà enregistré 5 morceaux dont un intitulé Punk Rock Cliché avec leur nouveau guitariste, Matt Skiba. Skiba a rejoint le groupe il y a quelques mois après la séparation du trio avec Tom Delonge. Dans cette interview au NME, Travis Barker a encensé son nouveau collègue : “He’s fun to play with and write with. We’re just getting started but I think we’ve got like four or five songs right now that I’m really, really happy with. There’s a song called ‘Punk Rock Cliché’ which I love the most right now. It’s about friends of ours and their relationships.”
